「～という一方方向に変化が進んでいく。」 ～は変化を表す動詞（弱くなる・減るなど）。良くない方向の場合が多い。
例：
1. 一度けんかしてから、彼女とは関係が悪くなるばかりだ。

例：
1. 旅行の準備はできました。もう出発するばかりです。
［動］辞書形 ＋ばかりだ
「～という一方方向に変化が進んでいく。」 ～は変化を表す動詞（弱くなる・減るなど）。良くない方向の場合が多い。「Change progresses in the one-way direction of ～.」 Here ～ is a verb indicating change (becoming weaker, decreasing, etc.). It often refers to an unfavorable direction.
例：
1. 一度けんかしてから、彼女とは関係が悪くなるばかりだ。
Since we had that one fight, my relationship with her has only gotten worse.
2. 外国語はいつも使っていなければ忘れていくばかりだ。If you don't use a foreign language regularly, you just keep forgetting it.
3. 最近、祖母は気が弱くなるばかりで心配です。Lately my grandmother has been getting more and more timid, and I'm worried.
［動］辞書形 ＋ばかりだ 「準備が終わって、後はただ～するだけの状態だ。」「Preparations are finished, and all that remains is simply to ～.」
例：
1. 旅行の準備はできました。もう出発するばかりです。
The preparations for the trip are finished. All that's left is to depart.
2. 食事の準備が終わって、もう食べるばかりになっている。The meal is ready; all that's left is to eat.
3. パーティーの招待状ができ上がって、後は招待客に送るばかりというときになって、ミスが見つかった。Just when the party invitations were finished and all that remained was to send them out, a mistake was discovered.
