~れる/られる(tự phát)
arise spontaneously
Explanation
Express emotions, thoughts, or actions that arise naturally or unintentionally.
Examples
This song reminds me of my childhood.

I'm worried about my grandmother, who lives alone in the countryside.
My sister's illness is said to be difficult to cure with modern medicine. A new drug is eagerly awaited.
Note
1) Easily mistaken for the ordinary passive (someone is done by someone). → Here ~れる/られる expresses naturally arising emotions/thoughts (spontaneous), not emphasizing the agent.2) Often occurs with verbs like 思われる・思い出される. → Means 'naturally feel/remember/worry...'.3) Not used to indicate a specific victim. → If a clear agent exists (A does B), use ordinary passive.
