1. 妹（いもうと）は頑固（がんこ）で、一度（いちど）言（い）い出（だ）したら後（あと）へ引（ひ）かない。
My younger sister is stubborn; once she decides on something she won't back down.

2. 何度（なんど）洗（あら）っても落（お）ちない。全（まった）く頑固（がんこ）な汚（よご）れだ。
No matter how many times I wash it, it won't come off. It's a really stubborn stain.
