［名］ ＋によって ・ によっては
「～が違えば…。」 …は一定ではないことを表す文（さまざまだ・変えるなど）。「～によっては…」の…は、いろいろな場合のうちの一つの例を言う文。「If ～ differs, ... .」 ... is a sentence expressing that something is not constant (varies, can change, etc.). In 「～によっては・・・」 the ... states an example of one of various cases.
例：
1. 国によって習慣が違う。
Customs vary from country to country.
2. 感じ方は人によってさまざまだ。Perceptions vary from person to person.
3. わたしの帰宅時間は毎日違う。日によっては夜中になることもある。My time of getting home varies day to day. Some days I don't get home until the middle of the night.
4. 場合によっては今年の文化祭は中止になるかもしれない。Depending on the situation, this year's cultural festival may be canceled.
