Minna no Nihongo Lesson 10 – Conversation Practice

Dialogues relate to room layouts and object locations in a room, classroom, or workplace. Learners practice asking about positions, confirming where items are placed, and describing arrangements. Pattern practice allows substituting objects and places to strengthen spatial expression.

Conversation

ナンプラーは　ありますかDo you have Thai fish sauce?

ミラー：
すみません。アジアストアは　どこですか。
Excuse me. Where is the Asian supermarket?
女(おんな)の　人(ひと)：
アジアストアですか。
The Asian supermarket?
 
あそこに　白(しろ)い　ビルが　ありますね。
There's a white building over there.
 
あの　ビルの　中(なか)です。
It's in that building.
ミラー：
そうですか。どうも　すみません。
I see. Thank you.
女(おんな)の　人(ひと)：
いいえ。
You're welcome.

There's a Thai food section over there. The Thai fish sauce is on the bottom shelf.
 
チリソースは　下(した)から　2段(だん)目(め)です。
The chili sauce is on the second shelf from the bottom.
ミラー：
わかりました。どうも。
Got it. Thank you.
