「...はずだ」 indicates that the speaker is confident that something is or will be true based on calculations, knowledge, or logical reasoning.
① 飛行機で東京まで1時間だ。2時に大阪を出発すれば3時には着くはずだ。
By plane it takes one hour to Tokyo. If you leave Osaka at 2:00, you should arrive by 3:00.

「はずがない/はずはない」is the negative form of「はずだ」, and means "absurd", "impossible". It is used to strongly deny that, based on solid grounds.
① あんなに練習したんだから、今日の試合は負けるはずがない。
They practiced that much, so they certainly cannot lose today's match.
➁ 人気がある映画なのだから、おもしろくないはずはありません。
It is a popular movie, so it certainly cannot be uninteresting.
➂ 階段の前に1週間前から赤い自転車が置いてある。ワットさんも赤い自転車を持っているが、今修理に出してある。だから、この自転車はワットさんの自転車のはずがない。
A red bicycle has been left in front of the stairs for a week. Mr. Watt also has a red bicycle, but his is currently being repaired. Therefore, this bicycle certainly is not Mr. Watt's.
Also, when strongly denying what someone has said, implying that it is not true, use the pattern「そんなはずはない」.
