～ために［目的（もくてき）］

goal ※voluntary

◎ Place after the dictionary form of a verb or a noun (together with a 「の」) to represent a goad.

1. 医者（いしゃ）に　なる　ために、一生（いっしょう）けんめい　勉強（べんきょう）しています。
    I am studying as hard I can in order to become a doctor.

2. 母（はは）の　ために、プレゼントを　買（か）いました。
    I bought a present for my mother's sake.

～よう［目的（もくてき）・結果（けっか）］

goal/result ※ involuntary

◎ 「よう」is place after the dictionary form off a verb to represent an action's intended goad or result.「～よう＋V」and「～ように＋V」mean nearly the same thing.

1. よごれない　ように、紙（かみ）で　つつんで　ください。
    Please wrap it in paper so that it soes not get dirty.

2. 合格（ごうかく）する　よう、毎日（まいにち）、勉強（べんきょう）して　います。
    I am studying every day in order to pass.

～ことに　なる

End up ~

◎ Represents that a certain situation or circumstance will inevitably result in something.

1. 会場（かいじょう）へは、バスで行（い）く　ことに　なります。
    You will end up going to the venua by bus.

2. 店（みせ）の　よやくは　わたしが　する　ことに　なるでしょう。
    I will probably en up making the store resevation.

～て　くれる

~for me

◎ When a kind act is done for the speaker, this is represented by「～てくる」.

1. 彼女（かのじょ）は、　日本（にほん）の　生活（せいかつ）の　ことを　いろいろ　教（おし）えて　くれました。
    She taught me many things about living in Japan.

2. 彼（かれ）が、森先生（もりせんせい）の　授業（じゅぎょう）が　休（やす）みに　なると　知（し）らせて　くれました。
    He let me know that Mori-sensei's class was not going to be taking place.

Reading

   あきらさんは　サッカーの　試合（しあい）に　負（ま）けたあと、少（すこ）し　元気（げんき）が　ありませんでした。 そこで、彼（かれ）に　元気（げんき）に　なってもらう　ために、みんなで　食事（しょくじ）の　会（かい）を　しました。 あきらさんは、来年（らいねん）　卒業（そつぎょう）なので、サッカーは　もう　やめる　ことに　なる　そうです。だから、勝（か）ってもっと　試合（しあい）が　したがった　そうです。でも、今日（きょう）は　とても　楽（たの）しそうでした。そして　最後（さいご）に、「今日（きょう）は　こんな　ぼくの　ために　集（あつ）まってくれて、ありがとう。ちゃんと　卒業（そつぎょう）できる　ように、がんばります。」　と　言（い）いました。
