Usage:

動詞（どうし）のテ形（けい）

Meaning:

ためしに～する
try ～to do

Example:

1.  「初（はじ）めてケーキを焼（や）きました。食（た）べてみてください」
     「It's my first time baking. Please try it.」

2.  「サイズが合（あ）うかどうかわかりません。ちょっと着（き）てみてもいいですか」
     「I'm not sure the size will fit. May I try it on?」

3.  はじめて交流会（こうりゅうかい）に参加（さんか）してみました。とても楽（たの）しかったです。
     I joined the exchange event for the first time. It was fun.
