Usage:

【イ形容詞（けいようし）・ナ形容詞（けいようし）】__ø＋さ　＊いい→よさ

Meaning:

イ形容詞（けいようし）・ナ形容詞（けいようし）を名詞（めいし）にする尺度（しゃくど）・程度（ていど）を表（あらわ）す。
turn い、な adjectives into nouns expressing size or degree

Example:

1.  今年（ことし）の暑（あつ）さは去年（きょねん）ほどではありません。
     It's not as hot this year as last year.

2.  「この部屋（へや）の広（ひろ）さはどのくらありますか」
     How big is this room?

3.  日曜日（にちようび）のデパートは人（ひと）が多（おお）くて、お祭（まつ）りのようなにぎやかさだった。
     On Sundays the department store is crowded and lively like a festival.

4.  いなかには都会（とかい）にないよさがあります。
     The countryside has advantages that the city doesn't.
