～から　～まで

◎ The「から」in 「駅から」indicates the location one leaves from, while「まで」indicates the place being reached.

1. アパートから　大学（だいがく）まで　歩（ある）いて　３０分（ぷん）ぐらいです。
    Dari apartemen ke universitas sekitar 30 menit berjalan kaki.

2. 駅（えき）から　会社（かいしゃ）まで　５分（ふん）ぐらい　歩（ある）きます。
    Dari stasiun ke kantor, sekitar 5 menit berjalan kaki.

3. 朝（あさ）　９時（じ）から　夕方（ゆうがた）　５時（じ）まで　会社（かいしゃ）でしごとを　しています。
    Saya bekerja di perusahaan dari jam 9 pagi sampai jam 5 sore.

4. 夜（よる）　８時（じ）から　１０時（じ）まで　テレビを　見（み）ます。
    Saya menonton televisi dari jam 8 malam sampai jam 10 malam.

～ぐらい

◎ 「ぐらい」represents "an approximate amount." To be more exact, when speaking about time, 「１０分ぐらいかかります（It will take about ten minutes)」is used, but in regular conversation, 「かかる」is not used, while「です」is often used.

1. アパートから　大学（だいがく）まで　歩（ある）いて　３０分（ぶん）ぐらいです。
    Dari apartemen ke universitas sekitar 30 menit berjalan kaki.

2. 駅（えき）は　近（ちか）くです。ここから　５分（ぶん）ぐらいです。
    Stasiun itu dekat. Dari sini sekitar 5 menit.

◎ This can also be used to discuss fees and other amounts.

1. 東京（とうきょう）から　大坂（おおさか）まで　しんかんせんで　１万円（まんえん）ぐらいです。
    Dari Tokyo ke Osaka naik shinkansen sekitar 10.000 yen.

◎ While the「と」in「公園と小学校」restricts things to these two loctions, the 「や」in「公園や小学校」represents the fact that there are other locations as well.

1. これから　スーパーに行（い）って、やさいや肉（にく）を買（か）います。
    Saya akan pergi ke supermarket sekarang untuk membeli sayur dan daging.
